So why can't programming be an art? After all, it requires both creative thought (especially if you're designing the program as well) and technical skill, which goes without saying applies to many other different types of art as well. I'm actually rather interested in posting code as art on DA.
I mean, think about Web 2.0 for a minute. All those big clear fonts, AJAXy (slick) live updating tidbits...the free-flowing designs are all different types of art! CakePHP, [link] my recently discovered favourite "web application framework", provides the best palette for me - in programming terms of course.
Let me see what I can come up with, and I'll post it all up, just like SourceForge. For those of you who have yet to discover sourceforge.net, imagine DA full of code - and a bit of art thrown in
